Networking Supports

Did you know that networking is an important career development strategy in Canada, especially for newcomers? Not only does it build your professional reputation, ‘Canadian experience’, and peer-to-peer contacts; it also helps you access the ‘hidden job market’.

If you are an eligible newcomer to Canada looking to build your career in the high growth construction industry and if you are still living in your home country, we can provide you with live job leads, referrals to mentors in your industry, and guide you on taking your first steps towards building a strong professional network in the construction industry-before you arrive.

In the meantime, here is a list of some publicly available information on a sample of construction-related organizations that could help you build your network.

  • Canadian Construction Association
    • Partner associations across Canada
    • Affiliate associations across Canada
  • The Canadian Federation of Construction Safety Associations
  • Canada Green Building Council

For one-on-one career advice and supports in building connections, register for our pre-arrival newcomer’s program today.
