Byron is Director at Tarby Contracting Inc. As a carpenter by trade, complemented with a PMP Designation and currently working towards a Bachelor’s of Management, Byron obtained both practical and managerial knowledge to be an effective board member.

Since moving to Nanaimo in 1997 from South Africa, Byron immediately found comfort within the welcoming community of his beautiful city of Nanaimo, in particular amongst the construction industry. Byron sits on the Vancouver Island Construction Association (VICA) Board of Directors.

Through the BCCA Board, he hopes to continue contributing to a growing and developing community, which has offered him so much.  With over thirteen years of project management experience in diverse industries, he aims to leverage his knowledge to develop strategic and creative solutions.
