Last week over 200 attendees attended five live (virtual) Town Halls to hear directly from BC’s Ministry of the Attorney General on the status of Prompt Payment Legislation in our province.

We’re very pleased to report a significant breakthrough during the Town Halls, with a promise from the Attorney General’s Legal Counsel to move forward with the legislation process immediately. Next steps are to allocate government resources and assemble a working group, as early as this month.

With hard work and collaboration between industry and government we can expect BC’s Prompt Payment Legislation to be tabled Fall 2022.  There is a lot that needs to be done, but we are finally on our way.
