About the program

The BCCA, in collaboration with the BC Road Builders and Heavy Construction Association, is a proud partner of Honour the Work.

Honour the Work aims to enhance education through hands-on activity kits and books designed to inspire elementary school students (K-5), introducing them to opportunities in the skilled trades early.

The Honour the Work program is dedicated to fostering creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills among young learners. The comprehensive kits provided include detailed guides for educators, complete with lesson plans, instructional videos, and various resources, all aligned with the British Columbia curriculum standards.

Support Honour the Work

Help us reach our $550,000 fundraising goal and bring hands-on skilled trades learning into more classrooms across BC. Donate $600 to sponsor a classroom or $3,500 to sponsor a school.

As a construction employer, supporting the Honour the Work program is an investment in the next generation of skilled tradespeople. Donations go directly to providing teaching resources, classroom materials, and inclusive books to inspire youth in BC. By putting trades-focused STEAM learning kits into classrooms across BC, the program connects industry leadership with long-term workforce development, community impact, and youth inspiration.
