Future Builders: Green Energy Installation
The BCCA Future Builders aims to equip individuals with skills in green energy construction to improve their employability. It includes employability skills training and green energy skills training, focusing on solar, electric, and wind technologies. This initiative aims to increase the number of skilled workers in the construction industry and foster sustainable career pathways in Kamloops and Prince George.
The Green Energy Installer Program at ACE Trades and Technical Institute is designed for students passionate about renewable energy. This flexible, student-focused certification emphasizes hands-on training using industry-standard equipment in a workshop. Integrated theory complements the practical learning, preparing students for real-world success in the green energy sector.
Eligibility
This program is funded through the Government of Canada’s Future Skills Program. To be eligible for funded participation, applicants should be able to work in Canada and should meet the following:
- Be Canadian Citizen / Permanent Resident / Approved Refugee
- Age 15 to 29
- And one of the following groups who identify as:
- Immigrants or newcomers (arrived in Canada within the last 5 years)
- OR Equity-seeking population
- OR Residents of rural areas

Prince George, BC:
- Format: Hybrid
- Duration: 8 weeks
- Start Date: July 21
