BCCA Past Chair Legacy Fund
BCCA has established the Past Chair Legacy Fund in honour of all past BCCA Board Chairs and their contributions to the construction industry.
About the fund
The BCCA Past Chair Legacy Fund, administered and managed by the BC Construction Association, will go towards funding eligible trades and professional construction career pathways for our industry’s future leaders.
The fund will provide up to $2,500 per award recipient and will award up to four applicants each year, with one recipient chosen from the Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island, Northern, and Southern Interior regions of BC respectively.
Annual Award Timeline
- Application period: April 15 – June 15, 2025
- Review period (by fund committee): June 15 – July 15, 2025
- Notify successful applicants: by July 30, 2025
Eligibility
- Nominees must be actively involved in the construction industry or have an interest in pursuing a career in the industry.
- Nominees must be employed or sponsored by an NRCA, SICA, VICA, or VRCA integrated member company.
Additional Details
- The candidate must be accepted into the school of choice.
- The current or future employer will be required to confirm their attachment to the applicant.
- All awards are adjudicated on a competitive basis and discussions will be kept confidential.
- Only award recipients will be notified of the outcome of the award.
- Funding will be provided directly to the chosen educational institution of the recipient and is nontransferable.
- The award can be used for tuition, books and other services provided by the educational institution
